New Law Provides Free Lunches for Children in Foster Care
The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 is a Federal law that provides free, healthy lunches for America's most vulnerable children, which includes children in foster care. Please be sure to ask your child's caseworker for an updated Foster Parent ID Letter, which now contains specific language that authorizes foster parents to request free lunches on behalf of the children in their care.
